After fixing my car for RM7.2k and collecting it on 24th Jan, I had to send it back to the workshop on 4th Feb. SC did not do a good job with connection of coolant hoses so it was leaking badly (half tank of coolant per day). Over CNY, I had to bring bottles of water in my car and before I depart anywhere, had to pop the hood and refill water.

SC replaced the hoses for free but it took 5 days to repair. It wasn't a simple and straight forward repair either. After replacing the hoses, engine faulty light came up during test drive. SC called to inform me that timing chain got problem, need to change. I was like wtf, I have already changed it 1-2 years ago and the car didnt have such issue when I brought it to the SC. Finally they managed to fix it by updated the software. Fine.

That's not all. I collected my car yesterday (8th Feb). When I turn on my radio/CD/USB, there was no sound coming from the Front and Side speakers. Again, WTF. I made a U-turn and went back to the SC. First diagnose, the technician told me radio 'kong' already. 3 years and the radio is gone?! (FYI I listen to music in a civilised manner and have never blown any hifi/speakers in my life). Technician's advice is to change whole set radio and quoted me RM3,000 (and have to wait 1 month to import from France). Easy ain't it? Just change everything. Their service manager later told me that they will check my radio on Monday. No way I am going to accept a broken radio after leaving my car at the SC and pay RM3k to replace.

Anyways, can only hope for the best because the management is not bothered no matter how hard I complain.

Oh btw, I went to a 2nd hand dealer to get an estimation of the value of my 3008 - was thinking of selling the car. The price quoted was only RM59,000!! 3 years and 3 months old, Black colour, Low Mileage, Accident-Free but yet the highest they could offer was RM59,000. RM142,000 to RM59,000 in 3 years - thats a depreciation of 58%. Sad isn't it?

Here's my list....i've owned the car for 6 months....2010 model

- rear suspension mounting gone, rattling sound on the road - RM800
- Steering got free play (knocking sound ) when car go over bumpy road - not rectified
- When reverse, can hear a loud thud..suspect its a worn join - not rectified
- Aircon compressor died and rubber seals in tubes are worn - RM1500
- Timing chain due to change because very noisy...the car only 80k km....expected 1800
- Battery died - RM500
- Rear fuel pump died - rm1600....this is not the high pressure pump...that one is 2.3k just the pump....
- Service of rear suspension (change of oil....i think i got conned for this one ) - rm550

Maintenance parts is not even here I think in 6 months of ownership, already fork out 7-8k for maintenance and repairs.

Maintenance parts
Gear oil - RM1000....the price has recently dropped to about rm400-500 i think

Peculiar problems
1. Rear passenger light comes on by itself sometimes
2. Rear left brake bulb blown in less than 10k km (5 months). suspect a short circuit in the system.
3. Rear dimming mirror stopped working.

This car is nice to drive...but i'm starting to question myself if the comfort is worth the money and i cannot help but feel that all the workshops that does Peugeot feels like they own you and attempts to squeeze every dime from you if they can.

Oh Yes! I just recall the owner of this SC which is no longer Peugeot official SC, they have peugeot potong parts now. Try getting a quote from him. Ask for Mr. Jerry

Guys,

My engine fault light turned on, and lost turbo completely.
It feels that way can't be sure.

It's out of warranty, and was thinking to send it over to Chan sow Lin SC but am skeptical of their knowledge and workmanship.
Any better more cost effective alternative?

Thanks bros!

This lion really make me wanna

Not common, but there has been cases of cracked turbo manifolds. Complete turbo unit is less 300 ponds on ebay. SC is always cut throat price!
