no offense to Mazda owners but I happen to ride in one of those 6's in SG..and still they're not anywhere near the sturdiness of the Volvo's.

To the thread starter, actually S40 are different segment of car compare to Accord and camry, why not you compare S60 2.0T instead of S40....

alantieng, I compare S40 with the other mentioned cars because of their price in Malaysia.
S40 2.4L -> RM 169,500
Camry 2.4L -> RM 170,545
Honda 2.4L -> RM 171,800
Mazda 6 2.5L -> RM 173,677
S60 -> RM 216,000
If I compare S60 with the rest, I won't be comparing the same price....
For technicality, yes we should compare cars with same "class". For practicality, I wish to compare cars at the same price range. Hence, if I am paying around RM 170k for a car, I would like to know what will I be getting....
Hope I make sense

your comparison are making well sense as all three are in fact in same category in terms of pricing, engine capacity and also performance. and your comparison indeed are coincidence with VCM ( Volvo Car Malaysia ) pricing & marketing strategy that both the Honda & Toyota had been name as S40 2.4i rival ...
and S60 are always been strategy as BMW 3 series rival...
