I think bro. azbro mention DRB is somewhere in between CT-01 and UHP T1-R.....and not DRB is UHP..
But sometimes depends on the sizes.
Certain tyre even like ZE-912, 14" are Rated "H" 15 and above rated "V"
There are some 17" rated "W", and 18" are rated "Y"
So maybe the 17" DRB are rated "W"?

All depends on the construction of the tyres....as these are Speed rating.....

Rdgs,

sir, i understand better now.

When I first posted this, I looked at the Toyo.my and it was rated as UHP....I did alot of checking after that...I even checked the Toyo.jp website together with a friend who is a translater...he said all Proxes for asean market is categories as UHP, wherelse the DRB is street sport...but can a street sport tire outgun a UHP tire....of course yes...nowadays got so many UHP range are fitted as OEM...example is the Vios with Potenza.

Vr2...kinda thinking of it....yes..the T1R when first come out was abt that price too...

Let's go further into this speed rating as now you have mentioned ZR and may have confused bro. andrew.

Have posted before in another post.

Q = 99 MPH, 160km/h
S = 112 MPH, 180km/h
T = 118 MPH, 190km/h
U = 124 MPH, 200km/h
H = 130 MPH, 210km/h
V = 149 MPH, 240km/h
Z = 149 MPH, 240km/h and over
W = 168 MPH, 270km/h
Y = 186 MPH, 300km/h

The letters denotes the maximum speed of the tyres. We do have S & T rating for the smaller sizes.
Common speed rating that we have are H and V.

In the past the maximum speed rating was Z, and that was over 240km/h, but as cars can go faster and faster new speed rating was required. But having gone to the last letter Z, they have to go backwards but may confuse the whole rating system, therefore after V which is written as 215/65/R15 96V, for those above V rating, like W and Y it is written as 215/45/ZR17 91W or 215/45/ZR17 91Y.
The Z will be added to the R and followed by W or Y with the load number.

Rdgs,

Some more my factory staffs in Bangkok asked me to come again the following weekend for Thai Songkran (New Year).
That was the exact weekend the riots started..... smile_shock.gif
Anyway, my main aim was to see the Motor Show... smile_thumbup.gif

been using toyo T1R since may 2008.so far really satisfied with the quality. last time bought rm 250 its 195-55-15. last time i cheak for the price in IPOH they are selling at rm 290 1 biji and that was disember 2008.nowdays i dont know.

ToyoT1R is extreem good in dry weather and so so in wet.one thing that i notice was, when drive at high speed at the higways (140-160kmh) it seems better on the dry section but when driving in rain,the grip are so so and that moment i wish the tire can transform to goodyear F1! smile_clown.gif
a new hope...
