Don't Buy Naza Sorento!!! Terrible!

WOULD buy one because its 133K approx!! The "terrible" (not so terrible for
me) problems can be fixed free of charge, and I still got excellent SUV,
despite what norazdicj thinks and his NOKIA buddies. I guess all those who
paid 170K or so are REALLY PISSED that the price has dropped, just like the
Carens owners. Blame the Gov. for that.

the first proton also not like this worst la.
THIS is a very-very good car.
But it is cause by unsatisfied worker.
Just like proton. All are good handling,comfort & performance car.
but the worker laziness & not important attitute cause the
car's quality to be bad"
Hmmmm....Probably!! Competency can be developed but attitude/willingness
would be difficult.

Its the management that allows this tidak apa attitude to infect the
entire work culture. Its the gahmen that allows this to happen?

You have wasted your time trying to explain who is to blame. I don't care
who is to blame. I never assigned blame on anyone, be it Kia, Naza, the
dealer, or the weather! Read my post, again; this time NOT while u're
spanking the monkey, OK?
All I said was for him to take it back to the dealer, kick up a fuss and
reject the vehicle. My point is, as a buyer of a new vehicle, he has the
right to expect a certain standard and quality in that vehicle. He should
not settle for less.

You have done so much by just pointing it out and I thank you for that.
Why do you think, for example, Proton hiring TUV for its Savvy? Why do
you think Proton senior management is now talking about Quality in the
recent press? I believe, it is because the fellow owners like you, who
contribute positively to the industry, unlike some others who are "tidak
apa" and missing the "big picture" (like a forumer here once said)
Yes, i tend to agree that there is nothin much we both can hope for, for
ourselves, but I do hope that our experiences will become an `eye-opener`
for the concerned party or parties. I hope our bad experiences will
trigger Naza/KIA to improve and rectify the shortcomings for the benefit
of current and future owners. Obviously the tagline "the car that cares"
here does not live up to the expectations and there are a lot of things
that Naza can do to just improve that.
Owners like you who (like a candle who burn himself) contibute a lot in
consumerism. There are people who may ridicule you because perhap you are
condenming their idol car, but at the end they are the one who will
benefit when thing like these happened to them and at that time, Naza,
perhaps already improved on the account of your bad experience.
If Naza took this seriously, and make effort to improve based on your
account, my account and several others, who then will benefit?
Definitely themselves and people who own a Naza / Kia autombile. One day
these people will thank you so much for just pointing this out.

still not matured yet. As a result, we came to terms with quality issues
and compromise too much. With this mentality, the producers became lag in
striving to produce higher quality products.
Sometimes, quality is more of a perceived issues. So it really depends on
how producers handle the complaints and make customers happy. Happy
customers make less complaints even though the products sux.

obviously to me, not thinking right. It seems ok for them to
get "shafted", "sodomised", taken advantage of over and over again by
unscrupulous vendors.
I complain and seek redress when later I found the product i bought is
not worth it, not money-time-effort worth. Isn`t that a normal thing to
do?
Bad experiences by me, alex and others doesn`t mean that all the same
products are useless!! Also good products enjoy by some of us doesn`t
mean that there no product issues at all! But this is not the point. Some
of us really missing the big picture here.
I believe Alex is going to own his Sorento still. I disowned mine as I
became a kia-phobia by the experiences. So, the yardstick is not "money"
as opposed by some who measure everything in "money-term". This is why, I
think, the phrase "I dont care about anything/everybody else as long
as I make big buck!". and then you get chicken smuggled from China who
may be contaminated by flu virus, dont go through propoer screening, as
long as big buck can be made... as it is ok to pay RM100 plus and get
craps product....as long as big buck is made...right?

the cost of ownership over a period of say, 5 years may be high.
As for me, for that price, I have settled for a Harrier 2.4. Though old
model, it performs much better than most of the SUVs on our Malaysian
roads. They are plenty of good stocks available in the market now.

is a copycat as I found the interior and exterior look almost the same
although not altogether the same.
And I agree, my sister's Harriet is much more value for money compared to
my brandnew (ex)Sorento.
