Hi all,
It's a bit old thread but the the title seems valid for my query
Anybody tried the the Nexen N'blue HD
Went to Kean Lee Hin yesterday and was recommended this 195/55R15 tyre from Nexen, made in Korea
& the price quoted was only RM200 per dough, well perhaps still not include other things
But interestingly, although categorized as HP tyre in the site, the N'blue HD managed to get 3rd place in UK's Auto Express ‘Big Tyre Test 2012’, although the test was for size 205/55R16

The shop quoted RM200 per dough
For UTQG, it is stated 360 A A for all size
For EU Label
- 205/55R16 (C-C-71dB) - test size
- 195/55R15 (E-C-71dB)
More & more kimchi tyres coming with better price/performance

And so...I replaced it with the Conti CC5. Skeptical at first but since the Primacy LC's are no longer available, I thought why not give it a try since it's only $175 a piece.
So far so good, noise levels are suprisingly low (for a Waja) and comfy as well. Doubt it'd last as long as those Michelin's but I think 40,000 km's shouldn't be a problem.
Cheers!

@malowar,
i think for that price it is a lil steep... i'll get KU31 or V12 cost it is just another 15 bucks away and it's grip is definitely better than the Nexen... if not i can get a lot of other tires at that size and price...
cheers...

Even though 3rd, the dry test quite poor, like Bridgestone 7th but dry handling very good, so got to see overall also...

I noticed that the Continental CC5 has different tread design. Some has 4 ribs, while some has 5. Why is this so?
I'm also planning to change tyres, but don't know what to get. I'm comparing between the CC5, Yokohama C-Drive 2 and Hankook V12 Evo. Which has the best performance in the wet?

Could be due to different tyre sizes. Wider will have 5 ribs. If you look at XM2 it is the same. 185/60R14 have 3 ribs, those wider tyres have 4 ribs.
CC5 is entry level, C-Drive 2 in mid and V12Evo is UHP. Best in wet for these 3 should be V12, the C-Drive 2 and CC5 in this order.
