Thanks CHKwong for the replies! In fact, today when I shut off the engine, the engine fan started to run (after I pull out the car keys), which scares me off (thought it was some kind of computer bug). Called my sales agent immediately and he said it is normal coz the engine is trying to cool itself down. What's strange is when I turn on the keys again, the fan turned off, then I turn off the key and the fan turned on again. Means, the fan only on when car is off??? After half a minute, the fan turned off by itself.

what direction is the engine number facing? I still cannot find it.

I didn't have chance to drive it more than 80KM/h yet coz I am in Penang.

Hi NTC2000, why you say it is 5K service intervals? I thought the service manual has the 10,20,30K columns in the service table. I did saw 5K service interval section on the service booklet for severe driving.

By the way guys, I gave a call to ECOTint (saw ecotint card hanging on my mirror) and asked about this exora bold window tint and the hotline receptionist said it is 2mil, 99% UVR and 83% IRR. Not bad huh?

ckwg...the fan on after turning off, that's expected for turbo engine. The engine # is just right below with top cover plastic. Eh, difficult to describe, ask your SA to show you.

Please go read up your manual on the section about shutting down engine or anything to do with Turbo. On some cars, they advise running the engine idle for a short while (after a hard run) before switching off so as to allow engine to cool down a bit. This is to protect the turbo. Not sure about this Proton so you best go read it up to make sure.

bro, it is normal for the fan running...

although service manual stated is 10,20,30k service, my advise is service ur lub every 5k... if u want to use up it upto 10k, make sure u change fully syn and change the oil filter every 5k.

regarding the ECOTint, for side window i believe is 70-80% IRR. for front screen, i dont think so... mostly only 60% for front.

Nonsense. You are basically saying a golden bucket can hold more dirt than a metal bucket of the same size.

So should service at every 5K with mineral oil?

I heard very conflicting advice from ppl I asked, both online and face to face...confused...

By the way, what is meant by Lotus handling of the suspension? Is this permanent or just when car is new? If I change my absorbers after 2-3 years (say, authentic proton parts) then is the suspension performance still the same?

Choice i up to u.

I did exp the Vios b4 getting the BLM.
Agree with u the toyota is a good car but the BLM has more character to it. So i go for BLM, no offence to Vios but its too dull.
If I am looking for something better, i go naughty and opt for conti instead of Japanese.
Its all down to the preferences.
