OK. You've just described a very knowledgeable pro helping you out there. I wonder is he/she anyone we know or registered here? Works in detailing centre maybe?

Btw, that's quite an impressive collection you got/received there. And again, they're just about amongst the best product each are intended for. Your friend there must be someone very well versed in detailing products range smile_thumbup.gif smile_thumbup.gif smile_thumbup.gif Just one question though, what's that clear liquid in the sprayer?

Thank you for your compliments! My Penang friend is still learning his trade. He and I grew up together and while growing up, he is forever talking about cars...car this and car that...without realizing what a turnoff to the girls they were! smile.gif But look at me now: asking him about...cars. blink.gif

I'll ask him about the clear plastic cleaner. I want to know too. I think he mention something about "opti-plex" or just "plexiglass" ... something plex? Mean anything?

My word of advise if you want to minimize your work load on:
1. Plastics - Apply a plastic protectant. It prevents the dirt from embedding in the plastic. Makes removal easier.
2. Carpet/fabric - get a rubberized bucket floor mat. Easy to wash and maintain albeit the rubber smell which will go off after a while
3. Seat/fabric - Use slip on seat covers like coolmax (I got mine from a shop where the owner sews his own seat cover). Alternatively if you like the beige color seats, you can go get 3M Scotchgard for fabrics (can get it from Ace hardware). Makes fabric cleaning easier and reduces staining.

If you have the spare cash, I would advise you to go get Meguiars APC+ (all purpose cleaner) or Optimum Power Clean. It is very effective at 1:3 or 1:5 (product to water dilution ratio) to remove all those carpet/plastic/fabric/etc stains with minimal effort. They have many many other uses too.

Nice work there..... smile_thumbup.gif
Wah! some more the friend came all the way from Penang....... smile_tongue.gif
Yup, beige interior is hard to upkeep. Wife's SUV also beige in color..... smile_shock.gif
Bro. eohl recommendation on the coolmax is good. I have that too and they also have them in beige color. I will try to get some pics... smile_wink.gif

Thank you both for your advice. This Coolmax seat cover is the one where we put it over our seats, right? It isn't sewed or stitched to the seats, right? I think I have seen it. I didn't like it because the seat cover tend to move after a while and we have to keep adjusting them after we have sat down on the seat. Does this happen to the Coolmax?

yes, but how strong is the pressure. if pressure is too low, then no point.

I think my outside house tap pressure is okay. Are you talking about ONR? If little water is used, why is water pressure important?

Oh, I think I have seen that too. Is the one where it comes out in white foam?

Oh, I prefer no smell. Autoglym Interior Shampoo leaves only a mild scent.

Nope. Was talking about conventional car wash shampoo. You are right. If using ONR, water pressure doesnt matter.

I understand this POV.

Ladies dont want to smell like they have car perfume on. Or some men for that matter. Other men just dont car how they smell, good or bad laugh.gif

The interior cleaner should be something odor neutralising or have faint scent and not overpowering. which some car scents tend to have.

The seat cover comes into two varieties: half or full cover. The half type only covers the seating area - those are the ones you need to adjust. The full type seat cover does not need any adjustment. I got my Livina full type seat cover for all 3 rows (not coolmax brand) for only ~RM300+ at GM Klang. It is much cheaper than the other accessories shop as the owner there sews it himself and sells it to other accessory shops. Normally is costs ~RM600 out there. Installation cost is RM50 unless you would want to do it yourself (lots of work for the livina... trust me cause I did it). smile.gif

Oh, BTW, I have used and hate those canned foam type cleaners. I've used many brands before on my Kelisa seat cover which is royal blue. It looks clean after using but leaves some kind of residue which will look like dirty water spots along the perimeter of the cleaned area. I would rather get an all-purpose cleaner that is safe for fabric, agitate area with a medium-soft brush and wipe it off with a damp MF towel several times.

eohl79,
after i manage to clean clean my Colt car seats, can give me the name and address of that shop? What and where is GM Klang anyway? May want to put that Coolmax seat cover. Because my car not so popular, he may have to custom make it.

Bro Jackson,
Here is the google map link to GM Wholesale Klang
GM Wholesale Klang

Can't exactly remember the name of the shop but I think there is only one shop there selling car seat covers. From the GM Klang website it is listed as:
P4-16, D.J. Trading, Car Interior Accessories / Car Seat Covers

The uncle there also said that he can repair damaged seat covers and get it custom made.
