There must be a reason why Hilux outsells Trition by more than double
Jan 2011 Hilux 1637 vs Triton 675 ?

welcome. TPL~
IMHO, it's because of the brand name. but for me, if compare both in terms of stock car, Hilux really far behind compare to Triton. handling, and built up quality. no offense here.
a friend of mine told me before, he say that the Hilux bumper can be easily break. not sure about triton or others.

Owned a brand-new Hilux 2.5G, manual transmission since 2009. These are my comments:-
1. Good built-up quality by Toyota. Still feel solid after 3 years, no rattles whatsoever.
2. Handling is acceptable for 4x4 vehicles. After all, Hilux & Triton are pick-up trucks@workhorse, not Sedan or MPV
3. Hilux bumper break easily ?. Not sure about your friend's claim, mine is still intact & look brand-new.
Although no vehicle is perfect, I feel that Hilux is a reasonably good, reliable, simple to maintain, & tough 4x4 vehicle.
Just put Diesel & off you go ~
You wanna quick blast ???. .... get a car, not a 4x4.
