Received a call from the Kia salesman this morning that my car had arrived
but not registered yet with JPJ. I requested them to register it tomorrow
instead of today because some auspicious reason. Asked me to inspect the
car before registeration. When to the sales office this noon, check the
every details but a little bit disappointed on the tyres, test drove unit
with Continental but mine with NCT5. Take the car for a ride to check out
the engine performance, as good as the test drive unit but the FC shown
11.5L/100km where the test drove unit only shown 9.1L/100km. The salesman
told me since the car is still very new, at time of drive, odo meter only
shown 21KM. He said the test drive unit also shown 11.5L during the
beginning but now after many round of abuse,it perform better. Dusty unit,
suspect put in the warehouse for sometime and suspect this is a CBU unit,
if really a CBU Korea, worth every single cent for the 84k.

Congrats on your new Rondo. I'd like to welcome you to the club if it had a
club. :P

Yes, my car also showed 11.5L/100KM the first day. The odo showed 225km
because it is sent by a runner to the showroom. I didn't notice the test
car tyre last time, but mine is exactly the same with yours as well, NCP 5.
I'd recommend you to check the whole body thru and thru, especially the
interior on the driver's side. Check the fuse box on the driver's side
(open the door and see between the dashboard and door panel) in case of
loose cover. But then again, I suppose you'd already done that....haha.
Once my car reached home, I immediately take off all the plastic covers and
stickers. Don't like people to see my car like too new laa. Except for the
stickers that protect the leg areas, thats good to avoid from scratches. I
wonder what color is yours?

p/s: How to attach image in this thread ar?

mine is fine silver EX, how about you? Thanks for the advice, I'll double
check it out. Few things that I notice on this car, 1st - the QC accept
sticker easily drop off, those at the seats. 2nd mine was the no. 40
unit "assembled" by Naza, please check at your last row of the window,
stated there with a small sticker. 3rd, the car (external) is so dusty, no
sure this will affect the paint or no? Have you tint your car? Going to
tint it with Rike Cool, was quoted RM 1250.00.

Did you get a good price for your Rondo? Which branch?

Mine is volcanic red EX. I'm also thinking of getting Rike Cool, but still
waiting for some funds next month. Its really blardy hot weather this week
and the glass doesn't help much to ward off those harmful rays. A new
changes to the tinting rules this year? Or is it still the same 70% vlt
(front, rear) and 50% vlt (side)? I hate to be pulled by dem JPJ dudes.

When you said yours was number 40 assembled, I immediately check my Rondo,
but I don't see any sticker stating what number mine was. Only got was a
NAZA LULUS sticker and something written on the glass about tempered glass,
vlt level and serial numbers. Really keen to know mine is which number.

the ride is superb, the pick up is great, the engine is smooth, the NVH is
wonderful, the gear changes is silky and the view sitting at the driver
seat is just amazingly tall! I have made a right choice for the price I
paid. I'll send the car for Rike Cool this weekend, just wondering how's
the result? By the way I've spotted some tiny dirty dot at the inner roof
near the middle cabin light, wrote the complaints on the checklist during
the collection, I doubt it can be rubbed away. Feel like driving a T.Wish
but at nearly half of the price.

funnyTone, your last few digits of your chassis number should indicate your
positioning. Since this was 'CKD-ed', the last 2 digits would have started
from 1 all the way up and that will tell you car no what assembled. The
same happens to the 407 CKD too.
